Overview
An exciting opportunity is available through the Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative for Vehicle Sales Trainees. These positions are offered across several Hatfield Motor Group dealerships in multiple regions, including:

• Gauteng: Johannesburg and Pretoria

• KwaZulu-Natal: Pinetown, Richards Bay, Pietermaritzburg, and Amanzimtoti

• Western Cape: Somerset West, N1 City, and Tygervalley

This 12-month YES programme provides unemployed youth with valuable workplace experience in the automotive sales environment. Participants will gain practical exposure to vehicle sales, customer service, and dealership operations, helping them build the skills needed to start a career in the motor industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the sale of vehicles in a dealership environment

• Welcome and assist customers, identifying their needs and recommending suitable vehicles

• Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives

• Respond to customer enquiries and build strong client relationships

• Support the sales team with vehicle preparation, stock control, and showroom presentation

• Track sales leads and follow up with potential buyers

• Perform administrative duties such as preparing quotes and completing sales documentation

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen aged 18–35 years

• Currently unemployed and from a previously disadvantaged background

• Matric certificate (or equivalent)

• Valid driver’s licence

• Basic computer literacy

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced sales environment

• Positive attitude, reliability, and motivation to succeed in sales

Programme Benefits

Salary: Market-related monthly stipend.
