Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have a Grade 10 certificate or an equivalent qualification (NQF Level 2). Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with good interpersonal abilities, organizational skills, and a client-focused approach. Basic computer literacy in MS Office is required. Candidates must be able to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will perform messenger duties, including sorting and organizing correspondence within the registry, maintaining and controlling the correspondence register, and sorting mail, files, documents, and parcels. Responsibilities also include ensuring that all collected items are properly sealed and addressed, delivering mail and documents to the correct recipients, and obtaining signatures in the delivery register as proof of receipt. Additional general office support duties will include photocopying, faxing, and shredding documents.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a technical assessment to evaluate relevant job-specific competencies. Details regarding the assessment will be communicated by the Department.
For SMS positions, shortlisted candidates who successfully complete the interview and technical assessment may be recommended to undergo a generic managerial competency assessment, in line with the DPSA Directive on competency-based assessments. This assessment will evaluate core managerial competencies using the prescribed DPSA SMS competency assessment tools.
Applicants must submit the updated Z83 application form, available from any Public Service department, together with a comprehensive CV detailing previous experience. The Z83 form must be fully completed in accordance with the DPSA Practice Note. Incomplete forms will result in automatic disqualification.
At the application stage, certified copies of qualifications and supporting documents are not required. These will only be requested from candidates shortlisted for the final selection phase. If submitting via email, all documents must be combined into a single PDF file.
