Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, professionally, and with integrity.
- Good planning, organising, and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Register and scan incoming court dockets.
- Capture and maintain case information on the Electronic Case Register (ECR).
- Update court information and case records daily.
- Provide electronic copies of dockets to the defence upon request from prosecutors.
- Liaise with prosecutors regarding case administration and court matters.
- Monitor court proceedings and verify case information.
- Reconcile case information by communicating with prosecutors where necessary.
- Generate reports from the Electronic Case Register for statistical and reporting purposes.
- Prepare reports using Microsoft Access, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Compile case summaries and maintain electronic spreadsheets.
- Submit monthly reports to supervisors, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and the National Office.
- Update electronic case flow information received from prosecutors and SAPS.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records.
- Release authorised documents to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain the electronic disclosure platform.
- Assist prosecutors with case administration and caseload management.
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned by management.
