Administrative Clerk (Ref No: RECRUIT 2026/139)
Division: Strategy, Operations and Compliance – Strategy Management Office
Location: Pretoria Head Office
Salary: R237 453 per annum (Level 05), excluding benefits
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
- Strong ability to work independently with professionalism, accountability, and credibility
- Knowledge of general administrative processes and functions
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively
- Capable of working both independently and within a team
- Strong multitasking and general administrative abilities, including reception duties
- Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- High level of honesty, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and administrative skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical and secretarial support to the Directorates
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines and photocopiers
- Gather and prepare documents to support management functions
- Ensure smooth flow of information and documentation within the Directorates
- Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements
- Process S&T claims for Directors
- Assist with procurement processes for goods and services
- Deliver general administrative support services
- Maintain proper filing systems and ensure safekeeping of documents in line with policies and legislation
- Draft, file, and retrieve documents as required
- Support meeting coordination, including logistics and minute-taking
- Compile and organise documentation for meetings

Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support, including capturing and verifying data
- Maintain accurate and well-organised records and ensure data integrity
- Generate reports and perform routine administrative duties
- Develop and maintain an efficient office administrative system
- Draft correspondence for the public, organisations, and government departments
- Provide clerical support for supply chain, HR, and financial administration
- Assist with personnel administration within the unit
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including fax communications
- Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, receiving, and dispatching documents
