About the Learnership

The Business Administration Learnership Programme is aimed at unemployed youth who are looking to gain practical workplace experience while completing an accredited qualification. The programme is designed to develop entry-level administrative professionals with skills in communication, business operations, teamwork, and workplace administration.

Key Responsibilities

Workplace Learning & Administrative Support

  • Gain practical exposure to daily administrative functions across various departments
  • Assist with filing, document preparation, data capturing, and general office duties
  • Support teams with coordination and administrative processes to ensure efficient operations

Records Management & Customer Service

  • Deliver professional and customer-focused service experiences
  • Assist customers through the ordering and after-sales process
  • Handle basic customer queries and escalate complex matters when necessary

Business Communication

  • Maintain product knowledge, pricing, promotions, and catalogues
  • Ensure quotations and sales information are accurate and updated
  • Stay informed on new products and sales campaigns

Technical & System Administration

  • Capture orders, payments, refunds, credits, and customer documentation accurately
  • Maintain accurate records for reporting and compliance purposes
  • Ensure customer documentation is complete and aligned with company standards

Problem Solving, Compliance & Stock Support

  • Assist with stock handling, movement, and merchandising activities
  • Ensure products are handled carefully and displayed neatly
  • Follow stock control and housekeeping procedures
  • Report any discrepancies, risks, or compliance concerns

Self-Management & Teamwork

  • Follow company policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Participate in training sessions, inductions, and workplace learning activities
  • Maintain professionalism, accountability, and teamwork at all times

Learning Areas & Exposure

Learners may gain experience in:

  • Reception and front-office administration
  • Human Resources administration
  • Finance and banking administration
  • Call centre administration
  • Legal and legislative administration
  • Office administration and project coordination

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Interest in administration or business operations
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office knowledge is advantageous)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear criminal record
