Job Overview
A company based in Pinetown, Durban is seeking a hardworking and dependable Cleaner / General Worker to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment while assisting with general operational duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean offices, kitchens, restrooms, and other work areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Dust furniture, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
- Replenish cleaning materials and hygiene supplies when required.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workplace at all times.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving stock or equipment.
- Perform general labour and housekeeping duties.
- Assist with setting up work areas and supporting warehouse or production staff when required.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or health and safety hazards.
- Follow company health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 will be an advantage.
- Previous cleaning or general worker experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime or shifts when required.
