Salary: R201 093 – R236 877 per annum (Level 04)

Location: Gauteng Division of the High Court, Pretoria

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • No previous experience required.
  • A valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment to evaluate their technical knowledge and job suitability.

Knowledge and Skills

Applicants should have:

  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures.
  • Basic data capturing and record management skills.
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivation, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture information from source documents into databases, spreadsheets, and other electronic systems.
  • Verify data accuracy and identify missing or incorrect information.
  • Review and validate captured data before submission.
  • Perform regular data backups to ensure information is secure.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems, records, and databases.
  • Ensure all records and documents are properly sorted, stored, and safeguarded.
  • Respond to information requests from relevant departments.
  • Send and receive emails as required.
  • Report IT-related problems to the supervisor without delay.
  • Check courtroom recording equipment, microphones, and CRT systems for faults.
  • Report technical faults and log support requests with the helpdesk.
  • Capture court rolls from court lists and pre-schedule cases before proceedings begin.
  • Record court proceedings and update case information accordingly.
  • Locate postponed matters and update recording schedules.
  • Transfer court recordings to the server at regular intervals.
  • Scan and save court documents as requested.
  • Safeguard all court files and documents while in your possession.
  • Sort and distribute documents for data capturing.
  • Open, update, and maintain case files, registers, and statistical records.
