Role Overview

The Driver and Handyman plays a vital dual role in ensuring smooth business operations. This position is responsible for providing safe, reliable transport services for internal and external stakeholders, alongside performing essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks across the facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Logistics, Deliveries & Collections

• Securely, efficiently, and timeously transport items, confidential documents, materials, and equipment to various internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on the company vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.

2. Facilities Maintenance & Technical Support

• Perform general building repairs, routine inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, logistical, or structural issues as they arise and execute corrective actions.

• Select, utilize, and safely manage the appropriate tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.

• Source, select, and purchase necessary repair supplies and hardware materials.

3. Administration & Support

• Maintain accurate administrative logs, vehicle logs, and maintenance records.

• Execute ad-hoc tasks and provide general operational support as required by management.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

Experience

• Handyman Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of practical, hands-on facility maintenance or handyman experience.

• Driving Background: A minimum of 5 years of active professional driving experience.

Education & Compliance

• Qualification: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.

• Licensing: A valid Code 10 (C1) Driver’s License.

• Permit: A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
