About the Role

Autowheels Autobody and Paint is seeking an experienced and dependable Driver to join its team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of customer and company vehicles, transporting goods when required, and ensuring exceptional customer service in a fast-paced working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive and handle both company and customer vehicles.
• Collect and deliver vehicles to designated locations promptly and professionally.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently.
• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any defects or concerns.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with cleaning customer vehicles prior to delivery.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, deliveries, and collections.
• Ensure compliance with all road traffic regulations and company safety standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Valid South African Driver’s Licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Clean driving record.

Experience

• Minimum of 6–8 years driving experience.
• Previous experience in vehicle transportation, logistics, or delivery services will be advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

• Good knowledge of Johannesburg roads and surrounding areas.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of handling vehicle inspections and related duties.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 06:30 – 17:30
• Overtime may be required when necessary.
• Selected Saturdays may be worked as required.
• No Sunday work.
