About the Role
Desco Electronic Recyclers is seeking a reliable and experienced Code 10 Driver to join its team in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and delivering goods safely, maintaining company vehicles, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Valid Code 10 driver's licence with a valid PrDP.
- Valid Dangerous Goods (Hazchem) Certificate.
- Approximately five years of professional driving experience.
- Previous customer service or sales experience will be an advantage.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled collections and deliveries efficiently and on time.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded, transported, and delivered safely to prevent stock losses.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete vehicle logbooks and health check forms.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
- Verify that all goods loaded match delivery notes and pick tickets before departure.
- Refuel the vehicle when required and submit fuel receipts to the supervisor.
- Assist with inventory and stock control duties in the warehouse when needed.
- Build positive relationships with customers and identify sales opportunities.
- Follow all company Health and Safety procedures and legal driving regulations.
- Report incidents immediately and complete the required documentation accurately.
- Attend all mandatory staff training and induction programmes.
Salary & Benefits
