Driver / Messenger: Provisioning and Logistics (Ref No: 2026/227)
Salary: R170 226 per annum
Location: Cape Town Regional Office

Requirements:

Applicants must have at least a Grade 10 qualification. No prior experience is required. Candidates should possess knowledge of the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) Act, along with basic literacy and numeracy skills.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, effective planning and time management, and basic computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with the Reapatala invoice tracking system and Archibus system will be advantageous, as well as knowledge of modern filing systems.

Applicants should be hardworking, reliable, punctual, accurate, courteous, and willing to adjust their work schedule according to office requirements.

Duties:

The successful candidate will provide messenger and delivery support services, including sorting and organising correspondence within the registry. Responsibilities include collecting submissions and official documents from designated offices, capturing invoices on the system, and ensuring outgoing documents are properly recorded in the dispatch register.

Additional duties include sorting and delivering mail, files, parcels, and documents, ensuring all collected items are sealed and correctly addressed, and obtaining signatures from recipients upon delivery. The role also involves maintaining accurate delivery records, assisting with general office duties such as photocopying, faxing, and shredding documents, and providing administrative support when required.

The incumbent will also assist with maintaining office security standards, registry operations, and operator-related support functions.
