Role Overview

Primecare Facilities Management is seeking a General Cleaner to ensure clean, hygienic, and well-maintained environments across offices and public spaces. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness through routine cleaning and sanitation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean and sanitize surfaces such as countertops, windows, and light fixtures
• Maintain restrooms by cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking supplies
• Empty waste bins and dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately
• Clean office spaces and common areas, including high-touch surfaces like door handles and switches
• Maintain kitchen and pantry areas, including cleaning appliances and washing dishes
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Follow health and safety procedures when using cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to management

Minimum Requirements

• Preferably a South African citizen
• Clear criminal record
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
• Previous supervisory experience in a cleaning or hygiene environment is beneficial
