Vacancy Overview

Air Products South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a General Dutyman to support operations at the DA Plant. This role is essential in ensuring efficient plant performance, maintaining safety and quality standards, and complying with all operational and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous production while promoting a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the DA Plant to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production
• Participate in safety and quality initiatives, including BSP programs, to maintain compliance and drive improvements
• Manage and monitor water treatment processes and lime pits in line with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Carry out assigned duties within the Acetylene Plant while adhering to established procedures and safety protocols

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Science
• 2–3 years’ experience in the gas industry or a related field

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
• Deadline-driven and able to perform well under pressure
