Job Overview

Eskom is recruiting 12 General Workers to support operations at Tutuka Power Station. The successful candidates will perform a variety of manual labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, moving equipment and materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with general housekeeping and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labour and support operational teams.
• Lift, carry, move, and handle tools, equipment, and materials safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Assist with housekeeping duties in workshops and designated work areas.
• Use tools and equipment correctly and safely.
• Participate in toolbox talks and workplace safety meetings.
• Comply with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) standards and company procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• 1–2 years' relevant experience in a similar working environment.
• Experience within the relevant discipline will be advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding manual labour.
• Willingness to work overtime when operationally required.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic understanding of occupational health and safety regulations (OHSA).
• Knowledge of workplace safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to identify and use basic tools and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and work well within a team.
