Position Overview
Afrirent (Pty) Ltd is looking to appoint three General Workers to support housekeeping and cleaning operations for trucks and trailers. The successful candidates will assist in maintaining high cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the wash bay environment.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 certificate
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in vehicle washing
- Experience within a heavy commercial vehicle environment will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean trucks and trailers according to approved procedures and standards
- Inspect trucks, tarps, and trailers to ensure cleaning quality standards are met
- Conduct detailed inspections after each wash
- Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning materials correctly and safely
- Maintain hygienic housekeeping standards within the work environment
- Monitor and report cleaning material stock levels for replenishment
- Ensure adequate cleaning supplies are available at all times
- Keep wash bay and common areas clean, organised, and free from obstacles
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance within wash bay areas
- Meet daily cleaning targets and operational deadlines
- Report damages, faults, hazards, or maintenance issues to management
- Follow all hygiene, safety, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures
