Position Overview
Afrirent (Pty) Ltd is seeking a dedicated General Worker to support the cleaning, washing, and housekeeping operations of trucks and trailers. The successful candidate will help maintain high hygiene and safety standards within the company’s vehicle wash bay operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- At least 2 years of vehicle washing experience
- Experience working with heavy commercial vehicles will be an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and clean trucks and trailers according to company procedures
- Inspect vehicles, tarps, and trailers to ensure quality cleaning standards
- Carry out post-wash inspections on equipment
- Use approved cleaning chemicals and products correctly
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all designated work areas
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report low stock levels
- Ensure wash bays and common areas remain obstacle-free and safe
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance in wash bay areas
- Meet daily cleaning targets and deadlines
- Report damages, faults, hazards, and repair needs to management
- Follow all hygiene, safety, and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies
