Afrirent Fleet is looking for a dedicated and reliable General Worker to provide high-quality housekeeping and cleaning services while ensuring compliance with the company's occupational health and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, hardworking, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Kitchen Support

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the workplace.
• Prepare refreshments for senior executives, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with the preparation and serving of catering for meetings and events.
• Set up meeting rooms before scheduled meetings.
• Replenish kitchen supplies and consumables for employees and guests.
• Monitor stock levels of groceries, cleaning materials, and other consumables, and report replenishment requirements promptly.

Cleaning Duties

• Clean designated office areas by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
• Ensure walkways and common areas remain clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
• Carry out routine inspections of allocated work areas and perform basic maintenance where required.
• Conduct deep cleaning of offices, kitchens, meeting rooms, and other designated areas.

Occupational Health & Safety

• Maintain a safe working environment by removing obstacles from common areas.
• Comply with all company hygiene policies and occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
• Identify and report hazards, damages, maintenance requirements, or safety concerns.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 (NQF Level 2).
• 0–6 months' cleaning or housekeeping experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high cleaning standards.
