Job Overview
Afrirent Auto is currently recruiting three General Workers to support efficient housekeeping and cleaning operations for trucks and trailers.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in vehicle washing
- Experience within a heavy commercial vehicle environment will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and wash the exterior of trucks and trailers in line with standard operating procedures
- Inspect trucks, tarps, and trailers to ensure cleaning quality meets standards
- Conduct detailed equipment inspections after each wash
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and products at all times
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishment
- Ensure sufficient availability of cleaning materials
- Keep designated areas clean and free of obstacles to maintain safety standards
- Perform routine inspections of wash bay areas and carry out basic maintenance tasks
- Meet daily cleaning targets and deadlines
- Report any damages, faults, or maintenance issues to management
- Ensure wash bay and surrounding areas remain safe and compliant
- Follow Afrirent’s hygiene standards and code of conduct
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and report hazards
- Identify and report any operational deficiencies or required repairs
