About the Position

Afrirent Fleet is seeking a dedicated and reliable General Worker to provide cleaning, housekeeping, and support services across designated work areas. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment while ensuring compliance with company health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Kitchen Support

• Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Prepare and serve refreshments for executives, employees, and visitors.
• Assist with catering arrangements for meetings and company events.
• Set up and prepare meeting rooms when required.
• Replenish kitchen supplies and consumables.
• Monitor stock levels of groceries, cleaning materials, and consumables, and report replenishment needs promptly.

Cleaning Services

• Clean assigned areas through dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Conduct routine inspections of allocated areas and perform basic maintenance tasks where necessary.
• Carry out deep-cleaning activities in designated spaces.
• Ensure walkways and common areas remain clean, safe, and free from obstacles.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Follow all company hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and standards.
• Identify and report hazards, damages, maintenance issues, or repair requirements.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10 (NQF Level 2) qualification.
• 0–6 months of cleaning or housekeeping experience.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
