Job Overview

An opportunity is available for a General Worker at Starke Ayres in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, packing, and handling stock while ensuring quality standards and operational efficiency are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick products according to customer orders and move them to the holding area for checking

• Ensure correct seed reference numbers are selected and report any discrepancies to the Stock Controller

• Maintain product quality by ensuring items are clean, properly packaged, labelled, and in saleable condition

• Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation procedures

• Assist with scheduled and ad hoc stock counts

• Support team members when required

• Keep work areas clean, organised, and tidy at all times

• Comply with security procedures to protect stock and company assets

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) – essential

• At least 1 year experience as a General Worker (advantageous)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Basic counting skills
