The City of Ekurhuleni is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for temporary Indigent Fieldworker positions within local communities across the municipality.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 11 qualification
• Ability to read and write effectively
• Ability to capture, compile, sort, and verify data accurately before submission
• Willingness to undergo training on indigent application and verification processes
• Must be a resident of Ekurhuleni and reside in the ward where services will be rendered (proof of residence required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual and electronic verification of indigent applications
• Visit households within designated wards to verify indigent status
• Interview prospective applicants and beneficiaries
• Verify municipal account information using the Solar and Indigent Management Systems
• Report water leaks and electricity faults through the appropriate channels
• Participate in indigent awareness campaigns and community outreach programmes
• Identify and report social challenges affecting households for referral to social workers
• Escalate community concerns and operational issues to the relevant Team Leader

Important Note:

• Applicants must indicate their Ward Number as part of their residential address.
• Candidates may be required to provide proof of the NQF level of their qualifications.
