Overview
An opportunity is available for a Learnership 18.2 Rigger Ropesman within the Platinum Marikana operating segment. This programme is designed to provide structured training and workplace exposure aligned to engineering and rigging standards within the mining environment.
Pre-screening and psychometric assessments may form part of the selection process. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a panel interview. Applicants who do not receive feedback within 14 days after the closing date should consider their application unsuccessful.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification criteria:

N2 Qualification with the following subjects:
-
Mathematics
-
Engineering Science
-
Engineering Drawings
-
Rigger Trade Theory
-
OR
-
National Certificate (Vocational) – Engineering and Related Design with a minimum of 40% in all subjects
OR
-
Grade 12 with Mathematics, Physical Science, Engineering Graphic Design (Drawings), and relevant Trade Theory (minimum 40% in all subjects)
Additional requirements:

Medically fit for the specific working environment

Clear security screening record
-
Valid driver’s licence (if applicable)

Relevant experience in an engineering or mining environment will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
