Job Overview

Engelbrecht Pty Ltd is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Packer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, inspecting, packing, and preparing products for dispatch while ensuring quality standards and workplace safety requirements are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment

• Pick and retrieve products from storage locations based on order slips or scanner instructions.
• Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Quality Inspection

• Examine products for defects, damage, scratches, or missing components before packaging.
• Report any quality concerns to supervisors.

Packing and Packaging

• Select suitable packaging materials and box sizes for various products.
• Secure items using bubble wrap, foam inserts, shrink wrap, or other protective materials.

Shipping Preparation

• Seal packages securely and attach correct shipping labels and barcodes.
• Prepare orders for dispatch according to company procedures.

Inventory Control

• Assist with stock counts and inventory monitoring.
• Maintain organized storage areas and report low stock levels or damaged items.

Equipment Operation

• Safely operate packing equipment and tools, including tape dispensers, box cutters, pallet jacks, and shrink-wrap machines.

Administrative Duties

• Record package weights and shipping information.
• Update inventory records and maintain accurate documentation.

Workplace Safety

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification preferred.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Previous packing, warehouse, or logistics experience will be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly salary: R5 800 – R6 600
• Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.
