A plastics manufacturing company based in Alberton is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations and product testing activities. The successful candidate will assist with sample preparation, data collection, equipment maintenance, and documentation of laboratory results.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification

• Mathematics and Chemistry as school subjects are essential

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good organisational and record-keeping skills

• Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety guidelines

• Willingness to work in a manufacturing and testing environment

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory equipment and materials for testing and research activities

• Assist with conducting tests and experiments on products and materials

• Collect, record, and organise test results and laboratory data

• Compile information into reports, graphs, and other documentation

• Monitor ongoing tests and report any unusual findings or variations

• Clean, maintain, and store laboratory equipment correctly

• Ensure laboratory areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with company standards
