Job Purpose

The Packaging Learnership provides learners with the opportunity to enrol in a National Certificate in Food and Beverage Packaging (NQF Level 3). Successful candidates will enter into a 12-month fixed-term contract, during which they will complete both practical workplace training and structured theoretical learning, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities and Outputs

• Participate in a structured learnership programme that integrates on-the-job and off-the-job learning

• Complete theoretical training modules supported by practical workplace application

• Apply learned knowledge in real work environments to develop technical and operational competence

• Meet all learnership requirements, including assessments and practical evaluations

Learnership Features

• Leads to a national qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)

• Qualification is based on SAQA-registered unit standards

• Unit standards are designed to reflect workplace-relevant, value-adding skills

• Competence is assessed in the workplace using various assessment methods aligned to defined outcomes and performance criteria

Candidate Profile

• Minimum Matric with Mathematics and English

• Technical qualifications (N3, N4, N5, or N6) will be an added advantage

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

• Able to work effectively and collaboratively within a team

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
