Emerald Opus is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Uber Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation services through approved e-hailing platforms such as Uber and Bolt. The successful candidate will operate within Johannesburg, Midrand, Sandton, Waterfall, and surrounding areas while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high driving standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and complete passenger trips using approved e-hailing platforms.
• Transport passengers safely, professionally, and on time.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by treating passengers courteously and assisting with luggage when required.
• Keep the vehicle clean, presentable, and in excellent working condition.
• Report vehicle faults, accidents, tyre damage, or passenger incidents immediately.
• Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and platform regulations.
• Work during peak demand periods, including mornings, evenings, weekends, airport requests, and special events.
• Maintain accurate records of earnings, fuel usage, mileage, toll fees, and other operating expenses.
• Protect the company vehicle by ensuring it is parked safely and only used for authorised business purposes.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), where applicable.
• Previous experience driving for Uber, Bolt, or another e-hailing platform will be an advantage.
• Clean driving record with no history of reckless driving or platform suspensions.
• Good knowledge of Johannesburg, Sandton, Midrand, Waterfall, Rosebank, Pretoria, and surrounding areas.
• Ability to use GPS navigation confidently.
• Smartphone with reliable internet access.
• Honest, reliable, and customer-oriented.

Vehicle Care

• Ensure the vehicle remains clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained.
• Report any accidents, damage, or mechanical problems without delay.
• Use the vehicle only for authorised e-hailing activities.
• Take responsibility for the proper care and security of the vehicle during working hours.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.
• Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and peak demand periods.

Preferred Experience

Experience driving vehicles such as the Toyota Corolla Quest, Toyota Corolla, Suzuki Dzire, Kia Pegas, Nissan Almera, or similar models will be advantageous.

Salary

R6,000 – R10,000 per month, depending on the agreed payment structure and performance.
