Salary: R163 680 per annum
Location: Pretoria

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 10 or ABET Level 4
  • 1–2 years’ experience as a driver/messenger
  • Knowledge of National Traffic Regulations and road safety laws
  • Understanding of driver/messenger procedures and handling of confidential documents
  • Familiarity with local routes and navigation systems (GPS)
  • Ability to assess vehicle roadworthiness before trips
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management, planning, and organisational abilities
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Valid South African Driver’s Licence (Code 10/C1)
  • Valid Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and deliver items such as mail and documents
  • Ensure passengers and goods reach their destinations safely and on time
  • Provide shuttle services for employees on official duties
  • Collect, deliver, and distribute documents, parcels, and mail
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations and organisational policies
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks (oil, water, etc.) before each trip
  • Report mechanical faults and ensure timely vehicle servicing
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness at all times
  • Complete required trip documentation, logbooks, and keep all receipts
  • Assist with registry duties, filing, and document management
  • Support general administrative and transport-related tasks as required
