Job Overview

Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd is looking for an Assistant General Worker to provide general site assistance and operational support. The successful candidate will work alongside site teams to help maintain efficient, safe and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with site teams to help achieve daily operational targets and objectives.

• Conduct routine inspections of the assigned work area and report hazards, deviations or unsafe conditions.

• Assist with pipeline and valve-related activities under appropriate supervision.

• Help identify and resolve operational challenges, escalating issues to the relevant site team when necessary.

• Perform general site duties and other tasks assigned in support of operations.

• Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas through basic housekeeping activities.

• Complete all duties in line with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Follow all company safety requirements, rules, regulations and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification

• Grade 12 / Matric or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Skills and Competencies

Candidates should demonstrate:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Good listening skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

General Requirements

• Successful completion of the required screening processes, including criminal screening.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts when required.

• Ability to work overtime when operationally necessary.

• Must be physically, mentally and medically fit to perform the duties of the position.
