Department: Administration (Stores) – Lion Smelter

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a Material Management environment, preferably within Chrome Smelters
  • Forklift operating experience
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Knowledge of SAP and Coupa systems

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with daily stores operations and stock management duties, including:

  • Receiving stock from suppliers both physically and on the system
  • Issuing goods from stores accurately
  • Capturing goods receipts and issues on SAP
  • Filing and maintaining stores documentation
  • Operating forklifts, Manitou equipment, LDVs, and other lifting machinery
  • Packing, stacking, labeling, and organizing stock in designated bin locations
  • Conducting stock counts and inventory checks
  • Generating SAP and Coupa reports
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards in stores and stockyard areas
  • Collecting items from suppliers when required
  • Assisting with reconciliations of bulk materials, vendor-managed inventory, and consignment stock
  • Supervising and escorting plant deliveries
  • Complying with company policies and procedures
  • Working overtime, standby shifts, and weekends when required
