Job Description

Pepkor Lifestyle is looking for a skilled, dependable and safety-conscious Linehaul Driver to transport freight between designated hubs and key distribution centres.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Operate heavy-duty vehicles to transport freight between hubs and distribution centres.

• Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods.

• Comply with all road traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Ensure that vehicles are mechanically sound and roadworthy before travelling.

• Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting, loss or damage during transportation.

• Maintain accurate records of mileage, driving hours and delivery activities.

• Follow designated routes and transportation schedules.

• 3-axle, 14.5-metre dry or refrigerated (perishable goods) trailers; OR

3. Licensing and Compliance Requirements
