Position Overview

The Channel Administrator will support the Channel Manager in overseeing electronic distribution channels and assist the Revenue Manager with revenue optimization initiatives. The role involves managing reservation systems, maintaining inventory controls, and ensuring the smooth operation of online booking channels.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Hotel Management Diploma or equivalent qualification
• 2–3 years of Channel Management experience
• Experience managing system conflicts and reservations
• Working knowledge of SiteMinder and OTA (Online Travel Agency) platforms
• Experience with rate loading and booking engines
• OTA content management experience
• Protel PMS experience will be advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail
• Honest, reliable, and proactive approach to work
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls
• Develop, monitor, and adjust pricing and sales strategies
• Ensure distribution channel data accuracy and integrity
• Maintain electronic distribution channels, third-party extranets, and GDS platforms
• Deliver channel management services across the hotel group
• Lead and guide the Central Reservations Team on channel management best practices
• Develop and manage training programs for PMS, CRS, revenue management systems, and online channels
• Assist with revenue maximization initiatives and operational projects
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Revenue Manager, Chief Operations Officer, or Managing Director

Important Note

Successful candidates relocating from outside the city where the hotel is based will be responsible for their own relocation expenses.
