Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration or a related field recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
  • A National Certificate in Community Development will be an added advantage.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • A valid driver's licence (not compulsory for persons with disabilities).

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

Applicants should have:

  • Knowledge of Batho Pele principles, Public Service legislation, and relevant government policies.
  • Understanding of the culture and language of the target community.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Dynamics.
  • Good planning, organising, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with communities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and maintain ward profiles.
  • Identify and report service delivery challenges within communities.
  • Identify community needs and concerns.
  • Conduct household visits and engage with community members.
  • Support community development initiatives and improve service delivery.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Important Note

Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide proof of residence for the ward in which they are applying.
