Role Overview

As a FedEx Courier, you play a vital role in the global logistics network, ensuring the efficient collection and delivery of parcels within your assigned route. You are responsible for delivering shipments safely, on time, and providing excellent customer service at every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Safe Driving:

• Operate and maintain a company vehicle in line with road safety laws and FedEx standards

Timely Deliveries:

• Scan, load, and deliver parcels (up to 30kg) within strict deadlines

Route Planning:

• Use GPS tools and local knowledge to determine the most efficient delivery routes

Customer Service:

• Represent the FedEx brand professionally, handle delivery queries, and complete proof-of-delivery (POD) documentation accurately

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any faults or safety concerns

Security Compliance:

• Ensure the safety and security of all parcels, especially high-value shipments

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid Code 08 (Class B) South African Driver’s Licence
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) is advantageous
• At least 2 years of driving experience, preferably in courier, logistics, or e-hailing services
• Physically fit and able to handle and move parcels, including in buildings without lifts
• Comfortable using handheld scanners and navigation systems
• Clean driving record and clear criminal background

• Resilience: Ability to perform under pressure, including traffic and adverse weather conditions
• Communication: Good command of English (spoken and written) for customer interaction and documentation

Duties & Responsibilities

• Execute operational processes at stations and hubs, including sorting, dispatch, and courier activities
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within required timeframes
