Chainlink Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver / General Worker to join their team in Welkom.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
- Operate the company vehicle for deliveries and collections
- Assist with loading and off-loading goods
- Ensure all delivery documentation accompanies goods and that delivery notes are signed by customers
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues to the Branch Manager
- Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle
- Complete vehicle logbooks and check-in records accurately
- Follow all road rules and traffic regulations at all times
- Any traffic fines incurred will be the responsibility of the driver
General Worker Duties (when not on deliveries):
- Picking and preparing stock
- Cleaning office, workshop, and storage areas
- Packing and boxing goods for courier collections and deliveries
- Unpacking and off-loading stock
- Assisting with general physical labour tasks
Candidate Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s licence with PDP
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
