Midas, a division of Motus Corporation, is looking for a Driver / General Worker to join its team in Elarduspark, Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, assisting with warehouse operations, and ensuring all company procedures and safety standards are followed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • At least 3 years of delivery driving experience.
  • Valid driver's licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Sober habits.
  • Clear criminal record.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Duties

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Complete and submit vehicle inspection checklists as required.
  • Report any vehicle defects before leaving the premises.
  • Verify parcels with the supervisor before loading.
  • Deliver goods safely and on schedule according to assigned routes.
  • Ensure customers sign Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
  • Deliver all allocated documents and collection slips.
  • Submit completed trip sheets and POD documents after each route.
  • Report delivery issues, customer concerns, or missing documentation.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean and report maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Follow all company dispatch and delivery procedures.

Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock according to company procedures.
  • Allocate and update bin locations for inventory.
  • Assist with stock replenishment and inventory movement.
  • Pick customer and branch orders accurately and on time.
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory control.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Perform quality checks to minimise stock losses and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve daily operational targets.

Scanner & Equipment Control

  • Issue handheld scanners to warehouse staff daily.
  • Record scanner allocation using the electronic system.
  • Receive and inspect scanners at the end of each shift.
  • Report damaged equipment to the supervisor.
  • Complete daily scanner control records.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of driving, warehouse operations, and customer service, while working in a fast-paced automotive distribution environment.
