Job Overview

An established manufacturing company based in Midrand is seeking a dependable and experienced Driver to join its Logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering customer orders safely, efficiently, and on time while maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring company vehicles are operated responsibly.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).

• Valid Code 10 driver's licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

• A Code 14 driver's licence will be an added advantage.

• Good verbal communication and basic numerical skills.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.

• Reliable, responsible, disciplined, and punctual.

• Willing to work as part of a team and assist when required.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Afrikaans.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain accurate delivery and product records.

• Clean criminal record and a safe driving history.

• Must be of sober habits.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow daily delivery schedules and load plans.

• Load, transport, and offload products safely and efficiently.

• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

• Obtain signed proof of delivery documents and return them promptly.

• Conduct vehicle inspections before trips and safely operate heavy-duty vehicles.

• Comply with company driving standards and road safety regulations.

• Keep vehicles clean, hygienic, and in good working condition.

• Monitor vehicle performance, including temperature where applicable, and report maintenance requirements.

• Adhere to all health and safety policies while operating company vehicles.

• Provide support in the Quality Control department when delivery duties are not required.
