Job Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for a Driver within the Facilities Department at Groenkloof National Park. The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor: Corporate Mail, Print & Fleet Services.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Valid driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Occupational Health and Safety knowledge/experience
• 2–3 years’ experience as a professional driver or messenger
• First Aid certification

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Adhere to SANParks Fleet Management policies and driving code of conduct
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre- and post-trip) and report defects
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained
• Provide transportation services, including executive chauffeur duties when required
• Transport mail, documents, light goods, and branding materials
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage, tolls, and traffic fines
• Complete driver logbooks, trip permits, and mileage records
• Monitor fuel and oil levels and report any issues
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance scheduling
• Assist with administrative duties such as printing, collating, and binding
• Report accidents, incidents, and vehicle faults promptly
• Deliver professional and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders

• Salary is aligned with Paterson Grade B2, including benefits as per SANParks HR policies
