About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and reliable Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join a leading global logistics and transportation company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and delivery of consignments, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Driving & Transport Duties

• Collect and deliver consignments to various locations within required timelines.
• Plan and manage delivery and collection routes efficiently.
• Complete and submit all required transport and delivery documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with transport, import, and export operations teams.
• Provide updates regarding collections, deliveries, delays, and discrepancies.
• Deliver excellent customer service during all client interactions.
• Liaise professionally with airlines, handling facilities, and stakeholders.
• Ensure all shipment documentation is completed correctly and submitted to relevant departments.

Warehouse Duties

• Assist with labelling, preparation, and dispatch of shipments.
• Support import and export operational activities.
• Pack, stack, and monitor company assets and inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse and company vehicles.
• Assist with stock handling and general warehouse functions.
• Understand packaging requirements and shipment preparation procedures.
• Follow operational instructions and company policies at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification preferred.
• Previous driving and warehouse experience will be advantageous.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements.
• Knowledge of logistics, transport, and warehouse operations will be beneficial.
