Job Overview

ZuluZenith is looking for a Driver / Warehouse Worker to join their team in Midrand. This role combines delivery driving and warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth movement and handling of goods from the warehouse to customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, and transporting goods, while ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time. The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and a strong commitment to safe driving and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

Driving and Delivery

• Operate company vehicles (Code 10 or Code 14, depending on operational needs) to transport goods to various locations.

• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS navigation.

• Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.

• Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain customer signatures, and manage related documentation such as invoices and delivery notes.

Warehouse and Stock Management

• Loading and unloading: Securely load goods onto vehicles and offload deliveries at customer locations or the warehouse.

• Receiving and storage: Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify quantities, and store items in the correct locations.

• Order preparation: Pick, pack, and label items according to customer orders.

• Inventory control: Assist with stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Safety and Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean and organised workspace to improve safety and efficiency.

• Operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks according to safety guidelines.

• Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations to minimise workplace risks.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence: Code C1 with a clean driving record and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.

• Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery role (preferred).

• Driving experience: 2–3 years of driving experience.

Additional Skills and Competencies

• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items (approximately 25–40 kg).

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods.

• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.

• Familiarity with GPS navigation and mobile devices used for delivery routing.

• Forklift certification will be an added advantage.
