Saint-Gobain is inviting applications for an EHS Trainee (YES Programme). This opportunity is ideal for graduates who are passionate about workplace health, safety, and environmental management, and are looking to gain practical industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with workplace health and safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
• Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental records and documentation.
• Promote workplace safety through awareness campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with company safety policies and safe working procedures.
• Assist with environmental inspections and compliance monitoring.
• Collect, analyse, and record environmental performance data, including waste management information.
• Support sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives.
• Maintain EHS databases, registers, and filing systems.
• Prepare and update monthly EHS performance reports.
• Assist with document control and the administration of the HSE management system.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification.
• SAMTRAC qualification or equivalent will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 implementation and internal auditing.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
