Exxaro Resources Limited is offering a 24-month Mechanical Engineering Internship opportunity for qualified graduates who are looking to gain practical workplace experience in the mining and engineering sector.

Internship Overview

This programme is designed to provide graduates with structured training and hands-on exposure in mechanical engineering within a professional environment. Interns will follow a formal training programme aimed at developing technical skills and industry knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Perform duties in line with the internship training programme.

• Demonstrate strong personal performance and commitment to learning.

• Comply with all company rules, policies, and safety regulations.

Important Information

• Duration: The internship contract will run for 24 months.

• Stipend: Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend throughout the internship period.

• Accommodation: Exxaro does not provide accommodation for interns.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will need to successfully complete the following:

• Recruitment and selection process

• Interviews

• Psychometric assessment conducted by Exxaro

• Medical fitness assessment conducted by Exxaro

Candidates must also be younger than 35 years of age.

Additional Information

• Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Emakhazeni Municipality.
