Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with company and statutory regulations
• Ensure the scullery area remains clean and organised
• Clean crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen equipment, and dining areas
• Dispose of waste from the scullery and surrounding areas
• Clean walk-in fridges, food prep areas, floors, walls, windows, and equipment
• Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including proper signage during cleaning
• Ensure no cleaning chemicals are left in public areas
• Keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, tidy, and presentable
• Assist in other areas of the unit as required by management

• Reliable, honest, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment
• Good hand-eye coordination and practical skills
• Strong personal hygiene standards
• Team player with a positive and motivated attitude
• Free from allergies related to food or cleaning agents

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Previous experience as a General Assistant in a hospital environment is advantageous
