About the Role

Treetop Talent is recruiting a General Worker / Fitter for a client in the automotive industry based in Maitland. The successful candidate will support daily operations through general duties, housekeeping, and assisting with battery-related tasks, including installation and charging.

Job Purpose

To carry out general duties and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment, while assisting with the removal, installation, and proper charging of vehicle batteries.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance

• Follow company procedures and controls at all times
• Report any risks or issues within the work area
• Ensure all processes are adhered to correctly

Customer Service

• Deliver good customer service and maintain relationships
• Apply sales and service procedures
• Assist with product, pricing, and battery selection guidance
• Escalate customer queries or complaints when necessary

General Assistance

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Remove hazardous or obsolete materials
• Perform manual labour tasks as instructed
• Report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
• Follow daily work schedules and housekeeping standards

Staff Support

• Work effectively with team members
• Assist in maintaining positive working relationships
• Identify and resolve basic work-related issues

Cost & Waste Control

• Help minimise waste, damage, and loss
• Report incidents or losses to management

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
• Grade 10 Certificate (NQF 2)

Experience:
• Up to 1 year experience as a General Worker
