Eskom is inviting applications for a General Worker X1 (BCCEI Fixed-Term Contract) position at Matla Power Station within the Construction Services Business Unit. The successful candidate will report to the supervisor, team leader, or foreman and assist with construction-related duties while ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general manual labour tasks as instructed.

• Maintain a clean, neat, and organised work area, tools, and equipment.

• Comply with Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures.

• Support communication and stakeholder engagement on site.

Requirements and Skills

• Physically fit with the stamina required for construction-related duties.

• Basic knowledge of construction practices and workplace safety.

• Ability to work at heights when required.

• Basic English communication and understanding.

• Awareness of workplace procedures and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Able to work under pressure and travel to different sites for extended periods if necessary.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in yard or site cleaning and maintenance will be advantageous.
