Minimum Requirements

• ABET Certificate (a higher qualification will be an advantage)
• Relevant experience in a similar environment will be beneficial
• Basic knowledge of using gardening tools and equipment
• Understanding of general maintenance and lawn care processes
• Basic knowledge of maintaining government water infrastructure and facilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties such as weed control, gardening, painting, and firebreak maintenance
• Apply herbicides where required
• Conduct routine inspections of departmental infrastructure
• Carry out maintenance on canals, pipelines, dams, servitudes, buildings, and surrounding areas
• Report faults, defects, and safety risks to supervisors promptly
• Load and offload tools and equipment
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and safety regulations
• Assist with additional general duties as required
