The South African Police Service (SAPS) is inviting applications for several Human Resource Clerk vacancies within its Human Resource Management Division at Head Office in Pretoria. Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate), NCV Level 4, or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification recognised by SAQA.
- South African citizenship (proof required).
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official South African language.
- Relevant HR or administration courses will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.
- Good communication, organisational, planning, and administrative skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work under pressure and, where necessary, extended hours.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the section assigned, duties may include:
- Supporting recruitment, selection, appointments, promotions, and staffing processes.
- Administering employee records, service terminations, and personnel transactions.
- Processing temporary incapacity leave and absenteeism management matters.
- Coordinating strategic planning, performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Managing correspondence, filing systems, databases, and meeting administration.
- Providing administrative support to organisational development and employee relations functions.
- Assisting with disciplinary processes, investigations, and related HR administration.
- Performing general human resource administration and other duties as assigned.
