A globally recognised manufacturer operating in the specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, personal care, and life sciences industries is offering an exciting 12-month Quality Assurance Learnership in Boksburg.

This programme is designed for motivated graduates and entry-level candidates who are looking to gain practical experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Laboratory Operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. Learners will receive structured workplace training, professional mentorship, and exposure to world-class quality systems and laboratory procedures.

Recent graduates and candidates with laboratory experience gained through academic practicals, internships, or Work Integrated Learning (WIL) are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Learn

During the learnership, you will gain practical experience in:

• Performing laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Conducting quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards.
• Preparing, labelling and managing laboratory samples.
• Recording, reviewing and maintaining laboratory data and quality documentation.
• Assisting with investigations into quality deviations and out-of-specification results.
• Supporting the implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Working in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality procedures.
• Performing basic equipment checks, calibration verification and laboratory housekeeping.
• Maintaining laboratory records, certificates of analysis and test reports.
• Assisting with internal audits, compliance activities and quality inspections.
• Supporting root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
• Monitoring product quality and reporting quality-related concerns.
• Participating in stability testing, sample retention and product evaluations.
• Working closely with production, technical and quality teams.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Following laboratory safety procedures and workplace standards.
• Completing structured learnership training, workplace assessments and development activities.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Previous laboratory exposure through academic practicals, laboratory modules or Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques, including sample preparation, dilutions, titrations and the use of standard laboratory equipment.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and data capturing systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A willingness to learn and grow within a quality and laboratory environment.
• High levels of integrity, responsibility and professionalism.
