About the Position

Dic-Chem is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Store Driver for its Worcester branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to customers safely, efficiently, and professionally while ensuring excellent customer service at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to work retail hours and shifts

Advantageous:

• Previous driving or delivery experience in a similar role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers safely and on time
• Ensure the correct items reach the correct customer
• Prioritise cold-chain deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs
• Follow the most efficient delivery routes
• Return to the store promptly after deliveries for additional trips
• Secure and repack stock properly to prevent damage during transport
• Handle fragile and hazardous goods with extra care
• Follow dispatch and collection instructions from management
• Ensure all delivery documentation and invoices are correctly signed and recorded
• Process customer payments via EFT or cash where required
• Keep the company vehicle clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained
• Complete vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
• Report accidents, incidents, defects, or customer concerns immediately
• Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company vehicle policies
• Build positive relationships with customers through professional service

Advantageous:

• Ability to communicate in more than one language
• Ability to identify and report suspicious behaviour

Special Employment Conditions

• Must be willing to work retail shifts and weekends
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes safely
• Must have reliable transport or live near the store
• South African citizenship required
• Clear criminal and credit record required
