Job Overview

A reputable and well-established company in the construction sector is seeking a Storeman to oversee stock control within the stores department. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock handling, and keeping storage areas well-organised.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming stock and materials
• Accurately record and update stock movements
• Issue tools, materials, and equipment as needed
• Maintain up-to-date inventory records and documentation
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with audits
• Support invoicing processes and manage goods received vouchers (GRVs)
• Ensure proper storage, organisation, and cleanliness of the stores area
• Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages
• Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries when required

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• At least 2 years’ experience in a stores or inventory environment
• Forklift licence (advantageous)
• Knowledge of stock control and inventory management processes
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Good administrative and organisational abilities

Remuneration: Market-related salary
