About the Role
ITEC SA is looking for a Stores Assistant to support the smooth operation of the storeroom and warehouse environment. The successful candidate will assist with stock control, inventory management, receiving and issuing goods, and maintaining an organized and safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming stock and verify deliveries against invoices or delivery notes
- Inspect stock for damages or discrepancies and report issues when necessary
- Capture and update stock information accurately on the inventory system
- Store and label stock correctly within the warehouse or storeroom
- Pick and issue stock according to job cards, transfer documents, and internal requests
- Prepare and package items for dispatch or delivery
- Conduct stock counts and assist with stock-taking activities
- Report shortages or stock variances to the Stores Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the storeroom
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards
- Assist with filing, reporting, and other administrative duties
- Work closely with procurement teams, technicians, and other departments to ensure stock availability
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment
- Basic computer skills, including inventory systems and Microsoft Excel
- Physically fit and able to handle stock movement when required
